Started to teach at St. Mary's College (college dept.) after graduation. Finished Masteral studies (UST) in 1972; Doctoral studies (UST) in l975. Appointed Dean of Arts and Sciences in l976; Vice-President in l981; Acting President on various occasions; Director, Staff Development Center for Region 2; Director, Regional Science Teaching Center for Region 2; Grantee of SAMEO for Biology at Penang, Malaysia and PhD in Plant Genetics at Lyallpur, Pakistan and later at UST, Manila; Fullbright scholarship grantee to University of California, Berkeley; Migrated to USA in l993; and has resided at Ann Arbor, Michigan for the last 16 years .

I was a working student when I studied at SMC (now SMU). I was a Secretary at the office of the Dean, Fr. Paul Zwaenepoel and also served as part-time convent boy. I served SMU for 35 years starting as an Assistant Instructor and eventually rising through the ranks to become the first Vice President of the school. I met Kathy Monje in college and she eventually became my wife and the mother of my children.
