I have been following Jerry around Texas and N.M. for the past 38 years. He is the AD/head football coach at Liberty Hill High School, defending State Champs for 2 years in a row (and currently ranked number 1 in the State polls).

While I have never achieved any fame or ever published the book I intended one day to write, I have enjoyed working with and being around young people of all ages for the past 37 years. While I still serve as the high school librarian at LHHS, I have also returned to teaching English. I began teaching again last spring and continue to teach one English class each semester for Austin Community College. So far this has been a very good decision as I love the classroom.

Jody, our older son, is a 2002 Texas A&M graduate. He and his sweet wife Mary live nearby in Austin. Jeff, the younger boy, lives in San Marcos, works for HEB warehousing and pursues his love for art and all things Native American when he has the time and the money. We have no grandchildren but do have two cats and one hyperactive Australian cow dog mix. He is annoyed at the moment because the deer sleep in his yard, and he is not allowed to chase them.

As you can see, our lives have been nothing extraordinary. We married, graduated from college, became educators, raised a family, loved the challenges and rewards of our careers, suffered the heartaches, grief, and also the indescribable joys of every day living and family life,and now look forward to retirement, when and if that time comes. We have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams. Life has been and still is good. I trust that is true for each and every one of you as well. I look forward to seeing you in June.

Funny stories? Hmmm. There were quite a few, but not any that I really want to post on this site! That should make some of you wonder!
