Jimmy Golan Davis

I know it's been awhile, some of you were there when my father died and I returned for the funeral. We are employed by the military and spent over ten years in Germany before being transferred by to states in 2013. We are currently at military base in Washington State, where I supervise the BSL 3 laboratory. The lab is one of the few certified to deal with LRN organisms and Ebola. I recently had a bout with Cancer and spent most of 2014 receiving Chemo and radiation. Unfortunately it depleted our savings, and I am still being monitored until later this year before they may declare me clear. A fund raiser was posted on MEDGIFT to help with medical expenses which continue to mount. I am recovering now but it is still a battle at times but each day seems to get better. Please if you see some of classmates give them my best and am wishing them a happy new year. My son graduated from University of Texas in Dec 2014 and has position with an oil and gas company in Houston and was informed I will a Grandparent again sometime this year. I keep telling him I not supposed to be a grandparent till I retire but as most kids he doesn't listen to me. Well new update, I have now retired and we are moving back to Texas in Aug 2018. The cancer returned and ended up having surgery to remove and am progressing. The chemo and radiation had a considerable effect that is still effecting me, but am making it. As my father would say I woke this morning so has to be goof day LOL

One of the things that always comes to mind is when Mark Holland, Dennis Taylor, Richard Ferguson and myself had a flat going to school and while we changed the flat we drank Dennis' chemistry project homemade wine that we had Hollen smash with his feet. LOL Of course we got caught and were all excused from school for 3 days, Hollen had on a pair of army tennis shoes and when Red asked him what kinda of shoes were those, Hollen looked at and said "Rice Paddy Loafers" and since I was the last one that had to talk to Red, the other 3 had left me there by the time I got through so I went done to Sheriff Hugh Anderson's office since he was friend of the family and ended up with one of his officer's taking me home and how my Mother went ballistic.
