In Memory

Todd Nelson

Todd Dierks Nelson, Palm Harbor, Florida, member of the Schurz High School Class of June 1960 passed away on November 20, 2018 from a heart attack. He loved playing tennis and sponsored a charity "wooden racket" tennis fundraiser every year.  The event will be continued again this year at the Countryside Country Club where the tennis manager will continue it and even expand it in his honor.

He is survived by his daughters Jillian and Jessica and his sons Brooks and Erik.  He has one grandson, Harris who is Brooks’ son.  There will be a gathering on 12/28/2018 at the Historic Andrew's Chapel in Dunedin Florida from 2 to 4 PM to celebrate Todd's life.

Todd will be missed.  He had been a friend since 5th grade at Portage Park.  We had gone thru High Scool together and also college.

We visited him in Florida several times and always made a dent in his scotch supply.

Todd was very much looking forward to the wedding of his daughter this February.

I am sorry to hear about Todd. I also remember him from band. Todd also played Trumpet in the Kingsman band we had. We will pray for his wife and family.

Since we were always seated in alphabetical order, I spent many of my school years hiding behind Todd so I wouldn't get called on.  He was a lot of fun to be around.  I send my sympathy to his family.  Bonnie Nemitz Skochinski

So sorry about this. We went to Portage Park and Schurz together. Not too long we became Facebook friends. Sad that this is the way we find out about someone. RIP Todd.
