After graduating from St. Mary's, Bill attended Loyola Academy. He married Cathy Murphy with whom he had two children, Beth and Brian. Bill and Cathy later divorced. For many years, Bill was a commodity trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Bill was living in Arizona when he died of an aneurysm in 2008.

The last time I saw Bill, or Billy as we used to call him in grade school, was at Kevin Lizzo's memorial service. I stopped to talk to him, but he was so broken up about Kevin's death he couldn't talk. He said he had to leave and would catch up later. Unfortunately, that never happened.I heard that he was a very successful commodity trader. I hope he got to retire early and really enjoy his remaining years.

The last time I saw Bill was one evening at Allgauers Restraunt. He had some association with the place. It was a brief conversation, but one of those unexpected pleasures to reconnect with someone from the past.
