On September 15, 2009 Russell Wayne Lindberg, 58, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in Jacksonville, FL. Beloved husband of Joanne Lindberg (nee Raley) cherished son of May V. Lindberg and the late Robert Lindberg; dear brother of Beverly (David) Vander Ploeg and Virginia (Timothy) Elmer; brother-in-law of Patti Raley; dear uncle of Brad Vander Ploeg, Valerie (Frank) Salgado, Libby Elmer and Kevin Pulignani.

Russ served his country overseas in the Navy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Russ enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his wife Jo. He retired from Metal Container Corporation in December 2008.

Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26) on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 811 Cathedral Street on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
