I just want to let my friend from Brazosport know that I went over to Richard Krause's page to check on the new dog he just adopted & found out that Rick died from heart failure Wednesday night. I'm in such shock! He sent me flowers when I had my hand operated on. I was getting ready to call him this weekend to get his address to mail him a Humane Society Astros calendar, which I've done for the past 3 years. He just moved back to Texas. I guess God had a plan for him because he told me a long time ago that he told his daughter in Washington State that if he died out there that she'd best take him & at least throw his body across the border into Texas because he did not want to be buried in Washington State. He got to Texas just in time. RIP Rick Krause

This is so sad! In the 80's we both lived in Palestine, Texas. Ran into each other at a ball game. It was so good to see him. After my husband died, he did a lot of work for me on my house. I'm glad he got back to Texas before he passed. Just don't know what else to say. My heart goes out to his family.

How very sad.  He was a sweet man and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.  I know this is such a shock for them, and I hope they are holding up okay.  God bless Richard and his family.

Rickey was a great guy. My prayers go out to his family, and God give them strength during this terrible time for them. We never know when our time will come, so please, give your life to God and live for Him.

I went and checked Rick's last profile entry, and it appeared he led a great life. You could tell he loved his family and they loved him. I pray for all of his kids and grandkids, I know they will miss him greatly.

It is hard to think of anything but all the smiling faces, even when the shock of our friends passing so quickly and without an illness to drag it out! He worked hard, did his thing his way, and left many friends thinking nothing but of the goodness of his being with us!
