Kenneth was one of my best friends - one of the first ones I made when I moved to LJ in the 4th grade.  We spent a lot of time together and managed to stay in and out of trouble with our folks - but mostly in trouble.  My step father - the police sargeant for LJ - came home unexpectedly one day and caught us having some mixed drinks - we were still in Jr. High.  Needless to say, we didn't have any free time for a long time.  It was always entertaining when the phone would ring and Mrs. Skaggs would ask for "Kenneth William".  I went with him and his Dad to their deer lease and we both got stung by hornets about a hundred times.  We made a trip to Garner and met up with John Walker, David Neece, and Grover Smith.  Got lucky and didn't get put in jail in Mexico.  We lost touch for a while, but had recently made contact and visited whenever I was in San Antonio.  Skaggs was a friend of mine, a good guy, and I miss him.

Kenneth was a good friend. We traveled to Europe together and had some fairly remarkable and unforgettable experiences there. Sad to hear of his passing.
