Robert graduated from UNC-CH in 1993 and worked in bond training for Bank of America. He was a devoted husband to Jennifer and they were expecting their first child at the time of his death. Olivia (Livy) was born in January of 2002 following Robert's death in September. In his final months, Robert continued to enjoy ping pong, the Tarheels, the Phillies, and other sports activities. He also remained close to his circle of Hunter Huss friends and even participated in Jason Jones' wedding in March of 2001. Robert fought the good fight against cancer which was simply too agressive to beat, despite the best efforts of doctors both in Charlotte and New York City. However, he lives the ultimate victory now, and remains alive in the memories of those who loved him and in the life of a daughter who looks and acts just like him!
