I started with the Geneva Fire Department in 1990 as a part-time firefighter and soon realized I found my calling. I was fortunate enough to make it my career in 1994 with Carol Stream and transferred to Downers Grove in 2000 I was promoted to Lieutenant in the spring of 2012. I continued working part-time for Geneva as a Lieutenant as well. While working I was able to finish my Bachelors in Public Administration at SIU and proudly served at Ground Zero. Unfortunately I suffered a debilitating back injury and I can no longer serve as a line officer. I currently work as the Administrator for Tri-City Ambulance.
2007 was very challenging for me and my family. I underwent a successful simultaneous Kidney/Pancreas transplant. Despite long odds I was able to return to duty in 2008. I have a beautiful 8 year old daughter Mia and twin 3 year old boys Ian and Owen who I swear have horns somewhere on their head, but I would not trade it for anything. I currently live in St. Charles but have plans to build a new home in Geneva soon. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in October if not sooner.
