After High School I went to Chapel Hill, then transferred to University of Georgia, where I got by B.A. and Masters in Accounting and became a CPA. I went to work as a tax consultant for Touche Ross in Atlanta and later Cox Communications. Then, my life took an unexpected turn. I married a missionary in 1987 and took off and moved to Dublin, Ireland, where my oldest Michael was born in 1989. Then we moved to Delft, the Netherlands, for 16 years where we planted a church which is going strong. As my married name is Holland we were the Hollands in Holland. (A wonderful place to have and raise kids, I might add – in which I had 3 more born there.) We were just in the United States for a short time, as my youngest has several disabilities and needed an English speaking country. My kids all think of themselves as very American although they have only been in the US for short spells. We have just last year relocated to a tiny town by the sea in County Cork Ireland. It’s pronounced ”y’all” (Youghal) My oldest just graduated and will attend University College Cork here this fall, I wish I could see “y’all” at the reunion. I have loved reading up on profiles.
Update: 10 years later still in Ireland, but now near Dublin. My 2 girls went to University in the US and one is married and expecting her first child in May. the rest of us are also coming to the US in August for a year. I really wanted to come to the reunion had it been in fall!
I uploaded some pics at our 30th anniversary trip to Greece and at my daughter's wedding in 2014 where also all of us were back together for the first time in years.
