After many years of enjoying myself as a mommy, I decided to go back to school in 2001. I received a bachelor's degree in elementary education and currently teach 1st grade at a very urban school in Louisville, Kentucky. It's the best job in the world and I wish I'd done it much sooner although I wouldn't trade the time with my family for anything. I am registering in the fall to get my master's degree.
My stepdaughter, Crissy, is married and will be the big 22 in July and my boys are 14, 10, and 19 months. The last one was a "surprise" baby, but has brought a lot of joy to our family.
David and I have had some ups and downs, but are now happier than we've ever been and I thank God everyday for letting me spend my life with my high school sweetheart.
Can't wait to see you all at the reunion.
The band trips and band practices were the BEST! I loved the crazy bus songs sang by Mindy Beutel and Chris Wolfe. I have to say the Winterguard trips were fabulous too. We were always so protective of our "men". They were the best looking "guard guys" around.... right?
All of my funny school memories involve Tim French! (I wonder why?) I remember the time he ran through the halls yelling, "Fight, Fight!" and everyone around started following him. It was a massive crowd before we realized the fight was a figment of Tim's imagination! I also found a black cat in my locker one morning courtesy of Mr. French and Mr. Jackson! Just so you all know the dandilion story was only funny to TIM!
Theresa (Tabor), Sherry (Packwood), and I share a lot of funny stories too. The best ones involved a blinking construction light stuffed into a pinto and anything that involved Theresa driving a stick shift! Hilarious!
