Jim and I grew up in Interlachen Park, a block and a half from each other. His family moved into the home previously occupied by the Danielsons, whose father was a boyhood friend of my father and whose son Jerry was briefly my friend. Many years after they'd moved, Jerry showed up at our door and asked my mother if I could come out and play.
While Jim and I rode the same bus (#19) to and from Harley Hopkins, we did not spend much time together outside school. Why, I do not know but it was my loss. Remembered as a decent, studious classmate and who could ask for more?
I also remember Jim as a quiet, very likeable guy. Lost track of him in upper schools. We shared the last 4 digits of our telephone number; a WEst number -1376. Remember his house off Excelsior Blvd? I visited there several times in grade school. His older brother Michael -1962, I beleive a cancer specialist at Mayo played saxophone in the grade school band w/ me and director Mr Moe.

Farewell Jim, and may your family be comforted.
