Hey Gloria, I am arranging for our reunion to be Sept 28 at the Platt Brooks home in Lexington. It is a really nice wedding facility owned by Chuck Brooks. We can have it catered by G Brand BBQ in Crawford. We can come out financially by charging $30 per person and have a little money left over. I have set the hours to be 5:30 to 9:30. We can eat around 7:00. Chuck can seat up to 200. Our last reunion had about 30 people there. I would like to invite the class of 1970 to join us. And for that matter, anyone that was in high school with us are welcome to join us. I have talked this over with Tim Hansford, Bobby Erwin, Albert, Bill Hawkins and Ralph. We all seem to think it is a good idea. What are your thoughts? If it is a go, we need to get the word out. We have 3 months for people to make plans.

I hope everything is going good with you. You seem to be living the dream. I still have a few more years to work. Having a late life child puts retirement on hold.

Happy birthday

Kathy's service is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 20, at 11:30am at Bonaventure Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Rd., Thunderbolt, GA

I received word from Joe, Kathy Gorman Plotkin's brother, that Kathy passed peacefully in her sleep late this afternoon. She is being brought to Savannah where a service will be held, probably on Sunday. Please continue to be in prayer for her family.

Monday -- Aug 14 --- I received an update from Kathy's daughter-in-law this morning. At this time, she is no better and her brain is having some swelling. She is receiving injections to try to reduce this. ChaCha said she "appears" to have some recognition and they are just hoping that she still comprehends what they are saying. I asked ChaCha to pass along to her that we are all praying.
I ask you all now to pray for peace for the family and a painless passage for Kathy.
