Paula Ballsieper, 69, born in Manchester on October 9, 1944, passed away on July 12, 2014, after a sudden illness. Paula graduated from Manchester High School in 1962 and started working at Aetna Life Insurance Company the same year and continued to work at Aetna for the next 30 years until her retirement in 1992. Upon her retirement, Paula took up what would be her passion, cross-stitching challenging works of art, many of which she framed and gave away to many friends and relatives. Paula also enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and frisbee. Also, since her retirement, Paula has devoted over 4,000 hours volunteering at the Coffee Cart at Manchester Memorial Hospital and many years and hours volunteering with the Wednesday work crew at the Little Theatre of Manchester. She also enjoyed Broadway musicals at the Bushnell and at the Goodspead Opera House.
