Gebel, 62, of Enfield, died peacefully on Tuesday (October 17, 2006). Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 23, 1944, Ronald was the son of the late August and Frances (Campbell) Gebel. Ronald was a longtime resident of Manchester and has resided in Enfield since 1990. He was employed as a Restaurant Manager with Wendy's in Enfield and was previously employed for over 25 years with McDonalds in Enfield. Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and dear friend, Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Jill A. (Bloomquist) Hluchnik-Gebel; his son, Erik J. Gebel of Manchester; his daughter, Lisa M. Popzynski and her husband Roman of Cheektowaga, NY; his step-sons, Jeffrey M. Hluchnik of Enfield and Stephen M. Hluchnik of Manchester; his brother, David F. Gebel of Hampden; five grandchildren, Erik, Seth, Peter, Scott and Serena; and many dear friends.
