Marion Thomson-Taormina

Marion Thomson-Taormina

Marion Thomson Taormina age 72, died peacefully Wednesday, February 24, 2016 surrounded by family in Mount Kisco, New York after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Marion was born January 25, 1944 in Manchester, Connecticut, the daughter of James and Marion Thomson. In 1968, Marion married the love of her life Louis Joseph Taormina and relocated to Stuart in 1976, a place they would soon raise a family and call home.

Marion had many passions including tennis, sea shelling, knitting, playing cards, cooking, and attending FSU football games. Most of all Marion loved her family, spending countless hours shuttling her children to sporting activities and devoting her later years to her young grandchildren. A resident of Stuart for 40 years, Marion created lasting friendships with many - from team tennis at IRP to the "Margarita Girls" and her "Bunco Crazies." In addition to raising her two children Marion worked for over 25 years as an office manager at Calico Corners.

We were friends at MHS & then went on to Morse College in Hartford.  4 of us in a tiny car, driven by Jim Slavin.  Glad I saw you in 2012 at the 50th reunion.  Rest in peace, Marion!!
