Graduated from UTK in 1987 in civil engineering. Worked for consultants and the City of Johnson City then went back to school at UT and started working for the City of Maryville in 1992. I finally finished my masters degree in environmental engineering in 1997.

Currently involved in Blount County Chamber Foundation, Maryville City Schools Foundation, First Baptist Maryville, Water For People (international development group focusing on water, sanitation, and hygiene issues in developing countries) and lots of family stuff.

Roaming around Rome without a chaperone on our band trip in 1980. I heard later that Rome has the best food in the world. I lost 5 pounds on the pseudo-American food they tried to feed us.

Nerd Bowls every year on the day after Thanksgiving on the MHS football field with Cox, Frye, John Watt, Joe Petre, Ray Finney and other non-class members. Gary King, Stan Petree, and Steve Ross played a time or two. Frye always claimed the MVP trophy. We kept playing for 17 years straight. Finally got too old and fragile to play tackle football and to jump the fence at the stadium.

Big Al winning class president with Frye as his campaign manager. I think they made a Nickelodeon movie out of that story.
