wow! quite a bit, which i will be happy to explain later. Left CC in the summer of '78 and jumped in the after school sports program, taking over the Comets sports program formed through the inspiration of my brother Barrington 'Boca' Campbell, Paul 'Fishy' East, Clement 'Tino' Bowen, Barry Morgan, Paul Tomlinson, et al. I also jumped into the journalism field with the local newspaper Beacon now Western Mirror, and community radio station - JBC Radio West.
The Comets Club sports program birthed the Comets Relays which became the Coca Cola Comets Relays which begat the Western Relays which is now the Milo Western Relays, the biggest track event outside the Corporate Area, named after its presenting sponsor, Milo, a Nestle brand.
I left Montego Bay for New York in 1991. Moving to NYC, i moved back into media with the Carib News, moved from there to the Gleaner Company (NA), then on to WWRL Radio, 1600 AM, back to the Gleaner Company, then with the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) as Information Attache (press officer), stationed at the Jamaican Consulate, NYC. Got fired in June 2009 - blame it on political house-cleaning. Worked as sales exec with a magazine company (www.tnj.com) in the city, from there to JNMS as agent coordinator, went back to the Gleaner NA as marketing executive, moving from there to Florida (December 2013), to take a position as Director of Sales - National Weekly newspaper. I am a member of the CCOBA - South Florida Chapter and doing fundraising for the Comets Athletics program in MBJ thru' the Comets Club International which i launched in NYC when i moved here.

FAST FORWARD to December 2014. Currently looking for gainful employment having resigned my substantive post as editor of the National Weekly newspaper over 'irreconcilable philosophical differences' with management. Also working on the launch of Comets Club International - Florida for early summer 2015.

Entered CC in 3rd Form (3T) as a GNAT scholar from Maldon Secondary (near Maroon Town) in September 1973.
Followed my elder brother 'Boca' into track & field while trying soccer, hockey and cricket. Lived on campus in School House, the best of the lot, then. A whole new world awaited and i took fullest advantage over the next five years. Won the national schoolboys cross country title in 1976 and a bronze medal in the 3000 meters at 'champs'. Prefect, Deputy Headboy, co-captain Track team, i did it all and enjoyed it to the max. Absolutely no regrets.
