Keith L. Butler of Verde Lee passed away June 19, 2005, at his home.

Keith was born in Dennison, Iowa, to Eugene Butler and Helen Graves on Feb. 11, 1951. He married Alice Sierra on Aug. 14, 1970. During their 35 years of marriage they had three children.

Keith loved fishing, whether on the lake or at the rivers, and he was well known for the large catfish he caught from the surrounding rivers.

Keith also loved camping, hunting and the nickel slot machines at the casinos. Keith held close to his heart the time he spent with his six grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Helen Butler, a daughter and a grandson, Tyran Gage Grove.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Butler; son, Steven Butler; daughter, Stephanie Butler; and six grandchildren, Jamie, Stevie, Paula, Steven Jr. Butler and Presten and Daylen Johnson.
