50th Memory Quilt

50th Reunion Memory Quilt Wins Big In Greenlee County Fair!

With much encouragement, Sharon Farrington was convinced to enter our 50th Reunion quilt into the Greenlee County Fair.  The Fair Committee called it "The Memorabilia Quilt" because they said it reminded them of information from long ago.  The competition was stiff.  There are some very talented people in Greenlee County!  But, as I expected, Sharon won First Place!  And also, The quilt was given the Greenlee County Fair One Hundred Year Award.  One award was given to an entry in each category to celebrate the one hundred years of the Greenlee County Fair.  Our quilt certainly deserved that award considering that it depicted memories from that far back.  So, CONGRATULATIONS SHARON!  And Thank You Again, so much, for your generous contribution to our 50th year reunion!

50th Reunion Memory Quilt

This beautiful quilt was made by Sharon Farrington.  Each block depicts memories of locations that were important to us all, now long gone.  The quilt was won by Darlyene Scheier Draper.  Darlyene said she thought the quilt should belong to a 1969 classmate and generously gifted the quilt to Myrna Bull LaHaie.
