"Neesie" passed away in February 2008 of Colon cancer. From what her sister tells me, she was diagnosed in the late stages of it. She lived a few more months after it was discovered. Neesie and I were hanging buddies in school and outside of school. I would call her 'Ms Fly' as she was all about looking good. Her sister even told me that the day she was in the hospital she wanted her hair looking good! She wasn't in much pain when she died, and she was glad about that.
I didn't get to see Neesie much after we graduated. As some classmates do, we drifted apart. But the school memories still linger on.
I'm sure Neesie's family misses her, but she is in a better place.
neesie was a great friend during scool. we were in each others home room class for 12 years! can you believe that? she was always a joy to be around and a barrel of laughs. i miss her dearly. i did not know of her illness until she was gone, my heart was broken, even when you don't see each other or talk to each other over time, the friendship bonds are still there, at least with true friends they are, and neecie was a true friend and i think of her often. love ya girl!
I knew Denise as "Jim". We grew up together and went to the same church. I had the opportunity to visit Denise twice in the hospital and attended her funeral. She was truly a Beautiful person and always had a kind word to lift your spirit. One of her true friend during her sickness was Vance Luckey. Thanks cuz for looking out and keeping me up with everyone. Denise is up in Heaven dressing everyone!!!
