After high school I attended college locally at Drexel Institute of Technology (now Drexel University) with a major in chemistry -- a choice certainly influenced by Mrs. Roth and Mr. Petruso, my high school chemistry teachers. I fell in love with the southwest and the desert and went to graduate school in Tucson, Arizona where I lived for 12 years. From there I moved to Boulder, Colorado (described as the high desert) and another stint in graduate school (computer science). I dreamed of a job that could merge chemistry with computers and have been lucky to have that job and be in Boulder ever since.
I retired in April, 2017 and am thoroughly enjoying retirement.
