NORTH AUGUSTA –
Mrs. Carroll Irene McGuffin Scott, 81, of North Augusta, SC, wife of forty-six years to the late Harold Dennis "Denny" Scott, entered into rest on Friday, October 8, 2021
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Burnadean McGuffin and her only sister, Lois Webb. She retired from Augusta Newsprint after thirty-nine years of employment as a Executive Secretary. Carroll enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her son, Dennis Scott (April), grandchildren, Lindsey Scott, Michael Scott, and Turner Scott.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, beginning from 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock , at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC 29829.
The family would like to thank Regents Hospice and Dynette Farmer for the wonderful care given to Carroll.

Carol was one of the sweetest people I knew in school and a few times subsequently. All the family were special and very friendly. We played on sports teams together. I visited Carol when she was in Hawaii before she married Dennis when we were an route to India with CUSO. We also visited her in her S. Carolina home when her son was small. I was impressed with how she blended in to that culture. Her accent even fitted in. I am so glad to learn she has 3 grand kids. I expect they will be grand.
