Charlotte Katz Robertson

We are retired and are living on a small island in the Caribbean. Life has been kind to us and we have been blessed beyond words. Now married 42 years, I have had an interesting and exciting life raising children and making dear friends. We lived for many years on a small farm in Indiana with horses, ducks, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, and bees! I also was active in the Democratic Party serving on many local, state and national committees and was a delegate to Democratic National Convention three times. I was, and still am, very involved in the environmental movement and served eight years as secretary of the statewide Hoosier Environmental Council. On our small island I swim, snorkel, hike, do yoga, qigong and paint. Our island is part of one of the smallest and poorest countries in the hemisphere so there are many opportunities to serve and help through charitable work.

Honestly, I don't remember much from high school. My boyfriend at the time attended a different school and I also worked after school and on weekends, so I wasn't that involved in school activities at OPRF. I do know I received a very good education which has served me well through the years. I enjoyed art, journalism and history classes and realize how lucky we were to have had a quality education. Of course I remember the green gym uniforms and the "posture" screenings. How they ever got away with that is bewildering.
