Died at the Westhampton Care Center near her home in East Hampton, New York. She was born in Omaha.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be conducted for her in East Hampton on the anniversary of her birthday.
Nancy was an accomplished actress and a professional photographer. She began her professional acting career by playing the role of Anne Frank in the production of "The Diary of Anne Frank" for the Cleveland Repertory Theatre Company. She moved to New York City and became an actress on a number of television soap operas. Her soap opera career ran from 1963 to 1985. She is best remembered for her portrayal of Dorian Lord in " One Life To Live ". When she left acting, Nancy turned her attention and creative skills to photography. In the late 1980's she produced an extensive exhibit entitled "Love In the Time of Aids", which depicted and promoted volunteerism in response to the then rampant aids epidemic. The exhibit was displayed on the North Facing Wall of the cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. Nancy and her life partner, Fred Nagel moved to East Hampton in 1995. Fred and Nancy worked in the East Hampton area as successful residential real estate agents. Nancy's love of life and great sense of humor endured her to everyone she came to know. She leaves many enduring fans, a loving husband, brother, sisters and friends. Nancy is survived by Fred Nagel of East Hampton, New York, a sister Jeannie Harris of La Jolla, California, a half-brother Dean Hokanson Jr. of Omaha, and a half-sister Monie Thompson of Bellevue. Memorials may be directed to the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Nancy was a favorite of mine, had heard she passed but didn't know any details, so glad to finally read this.  She was one of a kind.  Showed horses with Jeannie back then
