Arlene Stubbs (Schoonmaker)

I received word this evening from Glenn Stubbs, class of 1967, informing me of his cousin's passing.  I was able to locate the obituary.  Rest in Peace Arlene.

 

Arlene M. Schoonmaker of Campbell Hall, NY entered into rest September 25, 2013 at Home with her family by her side; she was 64 years old.

 

Arlene was born in Peekskill, NY on February 18, 1949 to Royce and Blanch Kavanah Stubbs. She was the wife of Richard Schoonmaker.

Arlene was a retired LPN at St. Luke's Hospital.

Arlene was a former race car driver, she also loved Science Fiction and Astronomy, and she had a love for animals especially cats.

She will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband, Richard Schoonmaker of Campbell Hall; daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Mario Herrera of Wallkill, NY; brother, Royce and his wife, Lisa Stubbs of North Bangor, NY; grandchildren: David Schoonmaker, Alysha and Tiffany Herrera as well as a nephew, Lincoln Stubbs.

Cremation will be private.

In leiu of flowers, donations can be made in Arlene's name to the Mid-Hudson Animal Aide, 54 Simmons Lane, Beacon, NY 12508
