Robyn Miller Brooks

I'll try to make this short and sweet:
1988-Moved to Phoenix, got married.
1989-got pregnant with Ashlyn,moved to Cocoa Beach,FL,moved back to Rke.,had Ash the day after Christmas.
1990-Husband took off, I started Nsg. school, became a single mommy.
1991-finished Nsg school.,also became a Correctional Officer,worked at prison in Troutville through 1993.
1993-Left the prison to take a Nsg. job at Roanoke City Jail,got my EMT licensure and met future Husband(he was my boss at the jail).
1994-Married the boss in September, found out we were preggers on New Years Eve(Beth Hill/Stewart and I did a pregnancy test at the Lewis Gale Clinic in Salem where she worked).
1995-Meredith was born in September and I decided to take a break from nursing. Worked for Once Upon A Child for many years and assisted in opening the one in C'burg in 1996.
1996-2001-Worked for OUAC part time until Husband took off with some nasty fat slut in 1998-then I began working for OUAC full time.
2000-2001-Attended and graduated from Massage Therapy School.Spent entire Summer in Hawaii.Visited relatives on Kauai and Maui.
2001-2005-Opened and operated Back In Touch Massage in Vinton with my friend Julie. It was super-fun and the business did quite well but Julie's husband had a job that needed him to relocate to Florida and I was unable to run the shop by myself. I attempted to keep a small number of clients and run the business out of my home, but after a frightning incident with a perverted client,I was no longer comfortable having people in and out of my home.
2005-present-Have been doing Home Health Nursing for a while now, but am actually trying to get back into Corrections........I'll let you all know what happens.
2008-My first Grandchild was born on September 4th. He was a preemie,but over the past 7 weeks he has gone from a birth weight of 5 lbs. to a whopping 11 lbs.!!! He's doing absolutely awesome! Ashlyn, on the other hand.......well- all of you that were young Moms know.......its just hard to try to be a Mom when you're still just a kid yourself. I'll try to keep everyone updated.

Oh my gosh-I have TONS and don't even know where to begin.....I guess I can write a few little tid-bits that stick out in my mind:

Mrs. Adamy worshiping cheerleaders, so there was NEVER homework on a night we had a game.

Remember when there was a smoking block???!!!

Anyone remember STARZ???

Mr. Maynard trying to peg me with an eraser every single day in health class. He NEVER got me either.
