Bradley E Anderson

I worked in series of Employee Relations and Human Resource positions, including Director of Employee Relations at Cummins Engine in Columbus Indiana, VP of HR for the Green Giant Division of Pillsbury, VP of Human Resources at Nordic Track, and VP of HR for Harmon Glass in Minneapolis; and most recently at Northland College in Ashland WI. We gave up on city life in 2000 because of our love for Lake Superior. We retired in 2011. We now live on Lake Superior near Bayfield Wisconsin in a home we built in 2009. We spend 9 months a year here and 3 months traveling. The past two winters our location of choice has been Carmel California.

We had pride in being the largest class in the largest HS in the state. I drive by the school and am struck by the demographic changes in the Twin Cities since 1964. My own kids followed the demographic shift by graduating from Minnetonka HS in the late 1990's. I think we all had a classic "American Graffiti" HS experience at Robbinsdale, but with the added dimiension of school identify built around team athletics. I recall the caravan of buses that used to follow our football team to away games. I recall Friday nights at the youth center above the police station, cherry cokes at Henny's drugstore downtown, sock hops in the gym (with me never once dancing!), my first "hootenanny." We had "greasers" and "baldies," madras shirts. Kudos to Mrs. Meisbauer and Mr. Luebke and Mr. Young. Hard to beat John Grygelko. I remember stopping in my tracks in the third floor corridor to hear, over the intercom, that JFK had been shot.
