Worked at Control Data for 20 years as a tech.Left there in 1985 to pursue my life long dream of owning and operating a full time professional recording studio.I have recorded and produced over 1,000 albums.I have lived on Drake Rd. for 20 years.Drake Rd. is only about 2 blocks from the old Robbinsdale football field (now Cub Foods)I remember both houses that I lived in for the last 40 years were less then 2 blocks from RHS.Many Friday nights we could hear the roar of the football field.Really miss that sound.
Operating a full time professional recording studio affords meeting and working with all kinds of musicians and artists.One group that was very popular at the time of graduation was the garage band "Trashmen" who had the national hit called "Surfin Bird".They are still very popular and the lead guitar player Tony Andreason has been recording in my studio.Besides still playing with the Trashmen he is starting to record a blue grass album in my studio.If you visit my website http://www.customrecordingstudios.com you will see some of the people who I have had a chance to work with.
Recently (2011)visited my daughter & grandaughter in Scottsdale Arizona.My daughter Lisa is a full time teacher at the indian reservation.Thinking of moving there so I can ride my motorcycles all year long.
May 3rd 2012 recording history was made.All of the original members of the Trashmen came in and recorded 8 new surf songs with some vocals.They brought in Deke Dickerson a awesome producer and guitar virtuoso.We tracked all songs live with their fender amps and awesome fender reverbs cranked almost all the way up.What a great and memorable recording session that was.The new EP should be out soon.The Trashmen just came back from playing in London and before that in Japan.
The new Trashmen album is finally out.This is there first album in 25 years.They plan to record more songs in my studio spring of 2013. I am really looking forward to it.

New update:
The Trashmen were back in my studio this week (May 15,16, 2013) with famous guitar virtuoso Deke Dickerson as producer. Their 4 song EP has been such a success that they came in and laid down 11 more surf type songs.They even did a re-make of "Surfin Bird". The new CD should be out soon with approx. 15 songs.The Trashmen are scheduled to play at the Back To The 50's June 22, 2013 at the Fair Grounds.Awesome group!.
