My journey since High School has been one of learning and adventure. I attended Weber State University and earned a B.S. in Gerontology. I have always been drawn to older people, very close to my grandparents, so it was a natural fit for me. I worked for the City of Ogden, as director of Golden Hours Senior Center. The center offered a variety educational classes, exercise, volunteer opportunities, and outreach for the low-income. It was very rewarding, humbling, and challenging all at the same time. I enjoyed creating programs and writing grants so the Center could thrive. I gained life time friendships and came away with an amazing appreciation for the aging population.
I retired from the City and reinvented myself. I work for Ogden Regional Medical Center I am the Volunteer Director of 150 volunteers and 30 hospital departments.I also manage a program called H2U. (www.hu2.com) I coordinate and provide a variety of health screenings, physician lectures, exercise classes, and wellness resources for our members. (The 50+ population.) I love learning the medical side. It's fun and I love what I do!
I've been married to my husband Sam, for 30 years. We love living in Peterson. (near Morgan). We're about 15 minutes from Snowbasin Resort.
We love to ski, travel, garden, and spend time at our cabin on Pine Mountain (near Kamas).
