Roni (ReAnn) Hammond (Brown)

Currently I live in Portland Oregon where my son Russ and his son live. Over the years I lived in Washington DC which I loved, Scottsdale Arizona where I raised my kids and my son Doug and his two kids reside, Chicago Illinois area where I got a kick out of dodging tornado, a couple times in Salt Lake City where my son Spencer lives and I dream about living in Southern California because that is where my daughter EmmaLeigh lives.

I have traveled extensively for work and some for enjoyment (Most recently backpacking - with a few stops at fabulous hotels - through Thailand with EmmaLeigh)

The past week or so I read a lot on this site. I really enjoy learning about your lives. High School friends are eternally held in our hearts.

From 7th grade until I was about 21 I went by "Roni". I loved that nickname. As I recall during the first few days of 7th grade a 9th grade "older" boy name Joe started chanting "Roni, Roni, Roni" when we passed each other in the halls. He did that to tease me about my crush on Ron Bagley. The nickname stuck, the older boy faded into the mass of kids and Ron Bagley was a friend all through my life.
Periodically someone calls me Roni now and it brings back warm memories and and a feeling of belonging.

Does anyone remember the powder puff football game during our senior year. Who was it that split their lip?
