I retired from the Texas Education Agency in July 2013 after 28 years of service. I worked for four years as General Counsel, Texas Physician Health Program and retired again in March 2018.

Doug and I have two adorable grandchildren from Jimmy and his wife, Dr. Melissa Allen (Medical Director, UT Health Science Center, Harris County Psychiatric Center, Houston). Jimmy is a sales representative for a supply company. Older son Rob is still in London, England as an energy trader. Our daughter Kim is a school psychologist at Conroe ISD.

Doug is a sales manager for Tyler Technologies. We're celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on September 1, and we already commemorated it with a trip to Bermuda in May (better weather and no hurricanes).

Gosh, it's been so long... i attended UT Austin undergraduate amd the UH College of Law. I worked for two corporations and then climbed the legal ladder at the Texas Education Agency for 28 years. After retiring, i worked for the Texas Physician Health Program for four years.

Doug and i have enjoyed traveling since our marriage in 1985. We’ve been to Bermuda and Maui several times and to the UK. We love the beach, so we have rented houses in Florida several times. We will be going to Paris for a week this spring, and then will concentrate on U.S. travels after Doug retires at the end of 2018.
