I just received this note from Bunnie and Steve Ovitt concerning John Hilliard's passing.

Classmates: I heard today that John Hilliard has passed away. He was
> such a nice man and a great teacher. I just spoke with him on Wed. at
> Shaw's and he looked very tired. We went on several trips with he and his
> wife and the Springfield Seniors and my Mom and Dad. His wife is at the
> Gill Home in Ludlow. Steve and I will miss him. He taught us both.
