MICHAEL ANGELO VITO BOCCUZZI a long time resident of Stamford, CT the beloved husband of Marilyn Wrench Boccuzzi, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Brookhaven Nursing Home in Carrollton, TX with his loving family by his side. He was 78 years old. Michael, one of nine children, was born on May 8, 1933 in Stamford to the late Raphael and Carmella Ottaviano Boccuzzi. Michael was the co-owner of Post Grocers on Long Ridge Road for 32 years. In addition to his wife of 27 years, he is survived by his loving children, Thomas R. Boccuzzi & his wife June of Sandy Hook, John E. Boccuzzi of Vernon and Maria Castellucci & husband Richard of Stamford. Also left to cherish his memory are his loving grandchildren, James & Thomas Boccuzzi, Jenna Boccuzzi and Michael & Danielle Castellucci. Michael is also survived by his brothers & their wives Ralph & Corrine, Ted & Gloria, Edward, Carmine, sister Barbara Downey, sisters-in-law Stella Boccuzzi, Audrey Boccuzzi, Jackie Wrench & brother-in-law Gary Wrench. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their children whom he loved. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Antonio, Gene, Joseph and sister-in-law Carole Boccuzzi. A memorial service is planned at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave. Stamford on Tuesday December 6 at 10:00 AM. Private interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
