Eleanor Pietruska Haga is also a sculptor who you can visit at www.elliehagasculpture.com

Joan Sena-Grane is a soprano who continues to perform in northern New Jersey where she lives.  She has several Google references including one to Wikipedia which notes that she sung the lead in Naughty Marietta with the Light Opera of Manhattan company in 1975.

Russell Goings has, during an extended career, moved from the world of finance to the world of poetry. His epic poem is "The Children of Children Keep Coming."  In May, 2011, Russ received an honorary degree from Fairfield University at which time the following was noted:

"Russell L. Goings is the co-founder of Essence Magazine and chairman of the Studio Museum in Harlem. He will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. A former pro-linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, Goings left the world of professional sports for a career on Wall Street. Once there, Goings started First Harlem Securities, the first full-service African American brokerage firm to own a seat on the New York Stock Exchange.

"Suffering from dyslexia as a child, Goings faced several challenges as a young man. That challenge, combined with the obstacles he faced on the football field and the struggle of being a black man on Wall Street, served as a spark for his creative ideas about people who persevere.

"In 1959, Goings received his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nearly 35 years later, he decided to go back to school and enrolled at Fairfield University, where he studied writing and found his poetic passion. Kim Bridgford, a Fairfield University English professor was asked to critique Goings’ work, and said, “I knew almost immediately that this was a fabulous piece. You could see the grandeur and get a sense of the story that he was telling.” Goings is also the critically acclaimed author of “The Children of Children Keep Coming,” an epic poem chronicling the black experience in America."

Jim Egan has had a long and successful career in advertising and graphic design.  Now living in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jim has developed new skills in printmaking and digital painting.  Some of his latest works can be seen on his website at www.eganinc.com   He has also provided extensive biographical information in our Classmate Profiles section.
