Angelina Marie Budd, age 86, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late George J. Budd, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2018 at Bishop Wicke Health Center. Angelina was born February 11, 1932 in Riverdale, NY. She was the daughter of the late John and Teresa Coppola, and sister of Joseph Coppola of Palm Coast, FL, and the late John Coppola. She was also the niece of Margaret Lapia, who she was very close with. She left New York when she was 5 years old and came to Stamford, where she was a resident for 60 years. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy class of 1950. She married her husband George in 1959 and was a stay at home mom. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and active in Little League in Stamford.
After her children were grown, she worked at County TV and Appliance in Stamford for 15 years. She retired to Hickory, North Carolina for a few years before returning to Shelton, CT. She is survived by brother Joseph Coppola and his wife Rita Coppola of Palm Coast, FL; her son Douglas Budd and his wife Jennifer Budd of Branford, CT; two daughters, Kathleen Perone of Raleigh, NC, and Dorothy Cerulli and her husband Richard Cerulli of Shelton, CT; seven grandchildren, Will Perone of Holly Springs, NC, Chris Perone of Raleigh, NC, Richard Cerulli, Derek Cerulli and Dan Cerulli of Shelton, CT, Ryan Budd and Kelly Budd of Naugatuck, CT. She also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Angelo, Emilia and Savannah. A private graveside service will be held at Fairfield Memorial Gardens in Stamford, CT.
