NELSON, PETER TROY, 76, of Pembroke Pines, passed away November 1, 2009 from a sudden illness. Mr. Nelson, a retired Miami-Dade Public School teacher and administrator, served as an Assistant Principal at Miami High for over 30 years. He was also an avid tennis player and an alumnus and huge University of Miami fan. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a mentor to thousands of students and colleagues over the years. Survived by wife Patricia; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Joseph Underwood; granddaughter Jolene and brother David. Funeral Mass Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 11:00 AM at St. David Catholic Church, 3900 S. University Drive in Davie.
