Marie C. Robertino Scofield went into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Norwalk Hospital after a short illness. Born in Stamford, CT on May 7, 1934, she was a long time resident of Norwalk, CT. Marie is predeceased by her parents, Petrina Lella and Michael Robertino of Stamford.
She is also survived by her three sons, Daniel H. Scofield, Gary T. Scofield and Paul M. Scofield; and their wives Cindy, Pauline and Holly Scofield. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Maggie, Daniel, Victoria and Paul Scofield; her sisters Joan Robertino of Southbury, CT, Rosemary R. Tracy of White River Junction, VT and Michael Robertino of Willington, CT.
Marie worked for Clairol, Inc. in Stamford, CT for 27 years. For the past 17 years she worked for the town of Westport as a bus monitor for the Westport school system and worked summers as a Park Attendant with Sherwood Island State park. Marie was an avid billiard player for many years and a diehard Yankee and tennis fan. She truly enjoyed her leisure time and reading.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, CT.
