Jean D. Romaniello Ross, 79, of Trumbull and a former resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2012. She was born in Stamford on August 1, 1933 to the late Willliam and Helen Rayho Romaniello. Jean was an employee for IGA for five years and Grand Central Market for twenty years until her retirement. She was a lover of cats and a collector of antiques. She is survived by her loving sons Michael E. Ross and his wife Colleen of Norwalk , Gary S. Ross and his wife Kathleen of Stamford, a loving daughter Wendy L. Morales of FL and a brother William (Bugsy) Romaniello of Stamford. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Tiffany, John, Robert and Dawn Morales, John Michael and Caroline Ross, Jennifer Verbanic and Tracy Ross; five great grandchildren including several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her son Edward M Ross. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's RC Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue , Stamford, CT 06902 is honored to assist the Ross family with the arrangements.
