I moved to McPherson, KS in 1978 which is where I raised my two children, earned two degrees, and began a teaching career (after playing at several other jobs). I worked in K-12 education as a fourth and fifth grade classroom teacher, instructional coach and technology grant facilitator, moving back to the Topeka area in 2006.
In September of 2011, I started working at Kansas State University and am currently the Executive Director of News and Communications for the university. I moved to Manhattan in 2013.
My first grandson, Tyson, was born in April 5, 2011 and I've found watching a child's growth and development from the grandparent perspective is truly amazing. In October 2012, Tyson was joined by twin brothers, Grady and Noah. What a surprise! There are no twins in either family--until now! In 2018, we were blessed with one more boy who tries hard to keep up with his older brothers. I love every minute I get to spend with them!
I started this website as a way to for us to reconnect virtually, since it had been so long since we'd reunited in person. (1995 was our last reunion.) The site certainly helped us reconnect and we hosted 35th and 40th reunions. If you were unable to attend either reunion, please check out the pictures in the Photo Gallery.
Although I started the site, I have not been very attentive to it in recent years. If you're interested in helping to keep it updated, please send me a message. I'd welcome any help you're interested in offering!
