I hope to be present for the memorial service Saturday. My brother, Jeff, VVS '74, and I  plan to attend as we have had contact over the years with  Bill and Peg largely through their very faithful and loving relationship with my parents, now deceased, Steve and Shirley Park. God bless Peg and her family with strength, peace and reassurance that it is well with her soul!

Sad to hear that Bill has passed away.  Bill was one of my early grade school friends in Sherrill and we played sports together and hung out together quite a lot.

On one grade school bus trip to some sports event, probably a baseball game, we passed a 3-D billboard of Elsie the Borden cow.  I am pretty sure it was Bill who exclaimed "Hey, that looks just like you, Al!"  For many years thereafter all my male friends called me "Cow."  As you can well imagine, I was not happy about that, but I understood fighting it would just make it worse.

Bill was a gifted athlete and a teammate of mine, especially in junior and senior high school on the football and basketball teams.  I admired his ability and enjoyed the camraerie that we all shared.
