This is a great website for our class. You are doing an awesome job Denny and I want to thank you for that. Thanks to all those helping with the organization of this reunion. We have lost so many classmates. I sure hope we are all still around for the 50th reunion in 10 yrs.
To anyone not coming...please rethink that. We'd love to see you again. It's fun reading all the "news" that you all are posting in your profiles. Keep them coming and update that profile even if you aren't coming!!!

There is still time to send in your money. Would love to see some more of my old friends. We always have a good time at the reunions.
It is so good to see so many new names on the list of attendees..where have you been for 40 years.
I will say it one more time. None of this would be happening if it weren't for Claude "Denny" Shumway. Also have to thank Barb Moran Kinsella, Mary Ernenwien Uvani, Kris Bush Tilbe..they are the ones that got the ball rolling. I see Paula and Jerry joined in the last one. Thank you to all of you because as you can see, I just didn't have my heart in it this time. I will be there to help next meeting I promise.

Thanks so much for posting the photos! I feel even greater regret that I was unable to join the class in celebrating the reunion.
I had to work tonight providing supervision in the barracks of the VMI Corps of Cadet, and reviewing the photos provided tremendous enjoyment. I wish I could have joined you! It appears that everyone had such a great time! Thanks for your investment in prepare such a fine reunion!

Dear Classmates,
Sorry it's been so long since I have written to anyone. Just busy getting Dr visits in and all the scans that have been done. The tumors on my brain HAVE reduced in size by 8. Don't remember whether it's mm or centimeters, DUH!!! LOL I had been in the hospital for Diabetic (high glucose). Then straight to rehab, as I had problems just getting out of bed or getting off the bedside commode. Had to have help just to move my legs and/body. Hospital stay was 1 week and rehab was 3 weeks, needless to say I was desperate to get back home!!

Want you all to know I am doing real well now, back to Chemo as of 3 weeks ago and now heading back to have another CT scan next week to see any further results. They are also going to do a Bone Scan to see if it's in my bones.



Hope it's good news in that department. Time will tell. Anyways THANK-YOU all for your support and I hope to do better in my updates!! I have Physical Therapy 2 times a week and a nurse that checks vitals, so I don't have the time I use too...

Thanks again for all the e-mails!! Enjoy them all very much.

Hi class

I recently visited the Hanover theater in Worcester, MA. 

Jon Rosbrook has been production manager there for years.

What a magnificent place. I received VIP treatment from Jon and saw the Christmas Carol.

If you are ever in that area you must contact Jon and go see a broadway show or top notch music concert. I can’t wait to go back. I am so proud of Jon’s success.

Thanks for the review, Dory.  It sounds amazing and when I visit the East Coast I will do my very best to get there.  Jon played the piano for a couple of us (at my request and urging) on the Mansion House tour during the 50th class reunion.  That alone was wonderful, so I'm sure his touch here makes the shows outstanding.  Merry Christmas to you and all our class, too.   Sharon Woolsey

Classmates,

I have made a promise to several classmates that we will get together this year.  It will be 57 years in June.   I think it would be fun to have a "75" birthday party as most of us are hitting that magic age this year, some of us already have.  We are losing too many good friends and it is really time to do this.  

The people that I have spoken to really liked our last one at the CAC Clubhouse in Sherrill.   We were able to just spend time catching up and didn't have to shout over music and bar noise and BYOB.  I can check into that and we can find someone to cater again.   

Please let us know if you would be interested and when would be good for you.   I think the hardest part will be finding a good time with all our busy lives.  

I am sure some people will jump in and help and if you have friends that aren't on this site or our facebook page (Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Class of 1968) will you please  pass the information along.  

So please send in your ideas and a couple of dates that would work good for you.   Lets get a date picked so people can make plans then we can worry about all the rest.
