Charles Osier

Charles W. "Chuck" Osier, 64, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center surrounded by his wife, son, and other family members, who were the center of his life. Chuck was born on November 3, 1950, the son of the late J. Donald and Jane Howe Osier. He graduated from VVS Central High School in 1968. Following high school, Chuck attended Brockport University earning a Bachelors Degree. Following college he then entered the US Air Force. Chuck married Donna A. Marzella, in Verona, on June 25, 1982. Chuck was a career NYS DOT Civil Engineer having worked out of both the Utica and Syracuse Offices. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and a love for the many family pets, both dogs and cats, but especially the cats. Chuck was also a member of the American Legion Post 230 of Sherrill. He loved to work around the family home, tending to the yard or working on a home construction project. Chuck will most be remembered for being a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Donna, and a devoted and loving father to his son Chris. He will be also deeply missed by his brothers and sisters-laws, as well his other family members who loved Chuck. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Donna; his devoted son, Christopher Osier, of Whitesboro; his sister, Jeanne Cahill, of Oneida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Susan Osier, of Fredricksburg, VA, and James and Karen Osier, of Dallas, TX; and several nieces, nephews, in laws, and other family members. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, J. Donald and Jane. In keeping with Chucks wishes service will be private with no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the direction and personal care of Jeffrey T. Paul, of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
