Dennis Loucy




Vernon - Dennis G. Loucy, 55, of Mt. Vernon Apartments, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Oneida Healthcare Center, with his family at his side. Dennis was born on June 5, 1949 in Oneida, N.Y., the son of John T. and Veronica Kennedy Loucy. He was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill School. He proudly served his country with the United States Army as a medical corpsman during the Vietnam War, having received three bronze Stars and Several other meritorious citations. Dennis was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed being the score keeper at the VVS basketball games. Surviving are a son, Corey Loucy and his wife, Kelly of Phoenix, Ariz.; his parents, John and Veronica Loucy of Onida; seven brothers, Tim Loucy of Arizona, Patrick (Mary JAne) Loucy of Rouses Point, Terrance (Debbie) Loucy of Westmoreland, Kevin (Nancy) Loucy of Newark Valley, Brian (Cheryl) Loucy of Chittenango, Shane Loucy of Limerick, Pa. and Michael (Val) Loucy of Milton, Vt.; two sisters, Mary (Michael) Osborn of Lafayette and Kati (Tom) Parker of Oneida Castle; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
