Joseph Frank Detjen

Joe Detjen (November 25, 1941  - October 27, 2014)

Of Hillsboro Missouri, passed away at his residence. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Edna Kruegel and Otto Adolph Detjen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn King Detjen, a half-sister Melba Birdnow, and a half-brother Charles Bovier.

He is survived by his wife Billie King Detjen; son Joe (Linda) of Rowlett, Texas; daughter Cheryl (Randy) Kilper of Barnhart, MO; step children Janice (Dennis) Miller of High Ridge, MO; Teresa Clack of Festus, MO; JC (Barb) Clack of Hillsboro; Tim (Kerry) Clack of DeSoto; Darlene (Bob) Roland of Hillsboro; Allen (Paula) Clack of Barnhart; and Kurt Ellis of Hillsboro; grandchildren Megan (Randy) Froelich of Texas and Melissa (Brad) Cosby of Tennessee; great-granddaughter Mandy Cosby; numerous step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired elevator mechanic for Archway Elevator in St. Louis; a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Union Local #3; House Springs Church of Christ; a volunteer with the Mercy Hospital Jefferson Auxiliary; and had served in the Army National Guard.

He is buried in Shepherd of the Hills Cemetery located in Barnhart, Jefferson County, MO

Of Hillsboro Missouri, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 25, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Edna Racine (nee Kruegel) and Otto Adolph Detjen.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a wife Carolyn Ruth (nee King) Detjen, a half-sister Melba Birdnow and a half-brother Charles Bovier.
