Another Happy Birthday I pray. Hope you are well and are you coming to the 65 th reunion ? By We are planning on it. Where has time gone !
It is with great sadness that acknowledge the passing of one of my best high school friends and four year college room mate. Jim and I shared several different residences at Mizzou from 1959 through 1963. We both returned to St. Louis after graduation where Jim worked on the Gemini space project. From there we took different paths. Jim ending up in Santa Barbara and me in Dallas.
Jim was one of most intelligent individuals I have ever known. An accomplished classical guitiarist in college Jim also enjoyed playing basketball which we did often during high and college. Thus he earned the nickname "The Phallanges" for his ability to palm a basketball and play the quitiar.
My condolences to Martha and his girls with the regret that, because of distance, we never had the opportunity to know and enjoy a relationship with our families.
With sadness,
Charles Nies
