Moved to Orcas Island in 1985 after sharing an apartment with Susan Smith in Redmond, WA. Met my husband while working at FourWinds Camp and we married in 1991 on the sail boat he built. Thank goodness he built it, as it was our home for four years until we finally found a piece of land here on the rock to call our own.
I am currently working for our local independent book store as Children's Book Buyer and for SeaDoc Society, an organization based on the research and science of the ecosystem of the Salish Seas and Georgia Basin. In 1998 I became certified to teach yoga and have been teaching all age groups and abilities ever since.
My parents still live in Cowiche;both still incredibly active. Mom raises Quarter Horses and Dad enjoys the great outdoors as much as possible.
Ain't Captain Bill havin' fun? Day 2 of 'Round the County Race' off of San Juan Island heading for Boundary Pass.
