Marty Wilson

Mart Andrew Wilson

11 January 1960 - 4 November 2014

Mart was born and raised in the state of Washington.  On an adventrue trip with his father and younger brother, Mart drove and fished his way to Alaska.  Enamored with the state and landing a job during the 'pipeline days' with CIT, Mart chose to remain in Alaska.  He eventually met his wife, cinthia, and they were married in Scotland.  They returned to Alaska and within the year Mart began his own successful small business.  Mart and Cynthia had and raised three children.  Michal, Andrew, and Daniel.  The family attended a Bible believing church and credit God with helping all of them to make it through their lives together with its various challenges.

Mart's request upon his death was to make known to those who would listen that God used all things in his life to bring him to a saving knowledge of the Living God.  He faced death, divorce, and physical abuse as a child.  As an adult he knew business and financial challenges and managed to forge a life celebrating family, commitment to his business, and a strong quiet faith.

his funeral program said...."THAT THIS IS NOT THE END", All those who knew Mart, know he would want us to fight on, to run the race, and to remember that Christ has already overcome death and the grave. One day all those who know our Savior will meet again with him in Heaven. And oh, how glorious that day will be!                                           In Christ, Cynthia, Michal, Andrew, & Daniel

Marty had a great smile and attitude in life. His humor and love of life will be missed. Marty was prepared for the ultimate loss in his life and to face his final reward. I hope all of us as we age and face similar challenges in life come to grips who Jesus was who died for our sins. I do not profess to being a perfect Christian but I believe there is life after death. And Marty is meeting loved ones and friends that have gone on before him. I pray his family is given strength to handle his loss. Take care my friend from years gone by. Rest in peace for you have earned your just reward in hope that others follow your lead. God Bless. Chuck
