I think if I was given to opportunity, I would go back and do it all over again! My mind just floods with great memories. Ok, maybe a few not so good memories, but time really does erase most of those. Or at least pushes them to the back.

I remember pulling into the parking lot and Bobby Boatwright just pointing toward the beach and away we went. The caravan was sometimes 10 cars long. With so many of us missing it was hard to believe that it wasn't noticed.


The class I remember most was Mr. Given's English class. Toughest class I have ever taken. Even my college english classes paled in comparison to that class. I have used things I learned in that class all my life and feel very fortunate to have been in his class. I remember Kenny Marks nicknamed him Eddie, for Mr. Education. You certainly had to have a dictionary handy when he spoke. Those were great times. I remember we used to try and guess how many cars were on the train as it passed by every morning during our class. Funny how you remember the little things. Every once in a while I run into Mr. Given's at stores around my area. His memory and mind are just as sharp as a tack.

After graduation, I joined the Air Force and after basic training went to Germany for 2 years. That was a great experience. Then I came back and finished my 4 year enlistment in Del Rio Texas. Texas was very laid back compared to Germany so it was a great way to finish up. When I got back I married the love of my life and we have been living in Northdale every since.
